James Gunn Teases Suicide Squad Cameo In Guardians 3

If one thing James Gunn is talented in, excluding making incredible movies, is teasing fans.

What most definitely is James Gunn’s last installment of Guardian of the Galaxy (whether it is the final movie of the series is yet to be confirmed), the director surely knows how to keep up the hype.

Gunn’s version of The Suicide Squad was a hit with the box office and the fans. One of the most exciting parts was watching known MCU faces pop up in the DCEU movie – Michael Rooker and Sean Gunn, who were previously seen in Guardians of the Galaxy.

Now, Gunn has teased that there is “a distinct possibility” of the group of delinquents appearing in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

The director has been busy jumping from one mega movie to the next and is currently busy with Guardians 3 and John Cena’s exclusive HBO Max spin-off series, Peacemaker.

He took some time out and answered a lucky few fans’ questions like he usually does. A fan asked if he would “invite any actor or actress from Suicide Squad” for his upcoming Guardians’ movie. Gunn gave a very Marvel-esque reply – calling it a distinct possibility.

Gunn’s choice of words and replies hold a lot of importance becauseGuardians 3 is still very much in its early stages.

The director believes in hand-drawing all his scenes, shot-by-shot. He uploaded a photo of a massive stack of papers and shared that it is the storyboards of 12 pages of the script.

So while the movie is in its nascent stage of production, Gunn’s tweet opens the door to a world of imagination full of cross-universe travel.

If seeing DC’s King Shark, voiced by Sylvester Stallone, in Guardians 2 and Guardian’s Mantis for a short while in The Suicide Squad is possible, then seeing super villains meet the guardians can also be possible!

With cameos being a smooth (and a super exciting) way to include multi-universe characters while also creating a mega universe, fans can expect some cameos in Guardians 3 too.

Especially now, when the movie is yet to be made, the idea seed is already planted in Gunn’s mind. Everyone, say thank you to Twitter user Bruno Felipe Silva!
