Hulu is continuing its winning strike continuously with brilliant content and the latest addition to its list is definitely Marvel’s Hit Monkey. After that shocking finale, we are all just wondering when Monkey will be back with season 2.
Whether or not a show is renewed for a season 2 depends on a lot of factors including production, availability of cast and crew and audience demand. But in this case, it depends a lot on Disney corporate politics rather than the quality and popularity of the show.
There may or may not be a season 2 of Marvel’s Hit Monkey. The creators or Hulu has not confirmed anything about a season 2 being greenlighted yet. But makers Will Speck and Josh Gordon has mentioned having elaborate plans for a potential season 2 and 3 already.
Has Marvel’s Hit Monkey Been Renewed for a Season 2?
Hulu has not yet renewed Hit Monkey for a season 2. There has been no official confirmations regarding this as of writing this article.
But do not lose hope yet. Creators Will Speck and Josh Gordon has assured us fans that they have detailed plans for a season 2 as well as season 3 of the weirdly funny Marvel series.
In an interview with Screenrant, Will Speck said,
We don’t have any future plans, in terms of no commitments, but in terms of a bible for the next 10 seasons, we have it very handy if you’d like to hear about it.

So the creators are definitely on board with it. Now we just have to wait for Hulu to renew the show for another season and declare it officially. I would say there are hopes because the show just released a week ago.
It does take streaming platforms and production companies a little time to understand the demand of the show or the viewership before coming to a decision. So we do have time.
What to Expect From Hit Monkey Season 2?
Hit-Monkey season 1 gave me a very fresh vibe which is different from usual Marvel or more particularly, MCU shows.
First of all, with Akiko picking up Lady Bullseye’s mask for herself, it is almost a given that she is going to be the next Lady Bullseye. So the saga of Akiko taking revenge from Monkey for killing her uncle Shinji should be a major part of season 2.
As in the comics, she can be seen training with the very best such as the Hand to become a killer. Apart from Akiko, the Monkey has other enemies too, such as Silver Samurai who can also join hands with Akiko as Lady Bullseye to take Monkey down.
I am expecting a lot more on Bryce such as him seeking out the wife and child he left when he went on the run. The Monkey and Bryce can share a similar bond as in season 1 and we can find out more about why the two feel so connected to each other.
Marvel shows are all about easter eggs, sudden cameos, post-credit scenes and surprises. So I am hopeful that some MCU characters could make their cameo or appearance in season 2 including big names such as Shang-Chi, Deadpool and Daredevil.
Haruka will also have a big role to play. She is important as she knows the truth about Shinji and can help in clearing out Monkey’s name.
