Jack Ryan Season 4 Greenlit At Amazon, Adds Ant-Man Actor To Cast

Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan has been renewed for a fourth season at Amazon and added a new member to the cast —Michael Peña (Narcos: Mexico).

Season 3 of the John Krasinski starrer recently wrapped up production but doesn’t have a premiere date as of yet. It has been two years since season 2 dropped on Prime Video on October 31, 2019.

The streaming service surely is a big fan of Tom Clancy’s characters as another series, titled Without Remorse, is also based on the author’s works.

Jack Ryan has a hefty budget that allows the story to take place in different locations all around the world.

A synopsis for Jack Ryan season 3 reads,

“Jack Ryan is on the run and in a race against time. Jack is wrongly implicated in a larger conspiracy and suddenly finds himself a fugitive out in the cold. Now, wanted by both the CIA and an international rogue faction that he has uncovered, Jack is forced underground, crisscrossing Europe, trying to stay alive and prevent a massive global conflict.”

Given that it’s an early renewal, details about the plot for season 4 and Peña’s role in it are scarce. However, according to THR, the actor will appear in various episodes.

The series also stars Wendell Pierce, Michael Kelly, Betty Gabriel, James Cosmo, Peter Guinness, Nina Hoss, and Alexej Manvelov.

Jack Ryan changed showrunners for season 3 when Vaun Wilmott took over from Paul Scheuring when he stepped aside for a few months. Amazon Studios, Paramount Television Studios, and Skydance Television produce Jack Ryan.

Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan (also known simply as Jack Ryan) is an American political action thriller television series based on characters from the fictional “Ryanverse” created by Tom Clancy that premiered on Amazon Prime Video.

The first season follows the CIA analyst as he discovers a string of dubious bank transfers carried out by a rising Islamic extremist named Suleiman. The second season sees Jack in the middle of political warfare in a corrupt Venezuela. The third one will see Jack on the run and in a race against time.

Carlton Cuse and Graham Roland created the series, and Cuse serves as an executive producer alongside John Krasinski, Michael Bay, and Mace Neufeld, among others. Krasinski also stars in the series as the title character.
