Everything to Know about Billions Season 6

After Billions finally returned to our screens following the long break because of the pandemic, we’ve all been craving for more for a long time.

The battle between Axe and Chuck is nothing less than pure entertainment, while also providing us with some good food for thought. So the important question is, will Billions return for another season?

Well, there is good news, because Chuck and Bobby aren’t going anywhere yet. To add to your excitement, here’s everything we know about Billions Season 6 till now.

Will There Be a Billions Season 6?

Billions will be returning for Season 6. The show was renewed for a new season in October 2020, when post-production for Season 5 took a halt. Though priority back then was on completing Season 5, another season has been confirmed for a while now.

Billions

In 2020, Billions stopped airing because the filming and production had to stop abruptly due to COVID. As soon as things became functional, the goal was always to complete production of the remaining episodes of Season 5.

Season 5 is airing as of writing this article on Showtime, but we can safely conclude that Season 6 had always been on the cards for the makers, considering how early the show got renewed. So yeah, we’re going to see a lot more of Chuck, Axe, and Wendy.

Is Season 6 in Production?

After the Billions cast and crew finished filming for Season 5, they moved on to the next season. So yes, Billions Season 6 is already in production.

Brian Koppelman

Brian Koppelman, co-creator of Billions has also tweeted that they were more than halfway through filming Season 6. In fact, the remaining episodes of Season 5 and Season 6 were all shot one after the other.

Basically, everything we’re about to see in Season 6 has already been filmed and finalized. Now, we just got to wait for it to air.

When will Season 6 Air?

Now that is a question that does not have an answer yet.

But, we do know some stuff. The Season 5 finale is scheduled to air on October 3, 2021. According to Koppelman’s recent tweet, Season 6 will be arriving by early 2022. But no fixed date has been announced yet.

Considering the filming and production has already been done with, I don’t think we’ll have to wait too long for Season 6. It should definitely premiere in the early phase of 2022. Looking at past seasons and the average airing months, new seasons for the show should come by February or March 2022.

Every season of Billions till now has had 12 episodes, so I am assuming the same for Season 6.

What Will Season 6 Be About?

Considering the plotlines of Season 5, we can get some idea about what we can see in Season 6.

First of all, the show is definitely acknowledging the pandemic within its story, so there might be more of that because the Covid-19 pandemic is still a reality.

Bobby and Wendy

The Bobby-Wendy relationship seems to be taking a romantic turn after the two confessed their feelings for each other in Liberty. So we should be getting more of that and what happens to their relationship in later stages if they began dating officially. I’m also expecting more of Mike Prince as he has been upgraded to series regular.

So, all in all, once the Season 5 finale airs, we will probably get a better idea as to what to expect for Season 6.
