Wick Could Face a Major Betrayal in Chapter 4, Teases Ian McShane

John Wick: Chapter 4 star, Ian McShane has teased a major betrayal by his character, Winston in the upcoming film. John Wick: Chapter 4 will release in theaters on March 24, 2023.

The protagonist of the film series, John Wick, has faced various betrayals in the series but he has always trusted Winston, who’s the owner of the New York Continental Hotel. The hotel is known for being a place where killers can come together to spend some tension-free time, without the fear of a sudden murder attempt.

Reportedly, John Wick: Chapter 4 will include a major twist about Winston after his attempt to kill Wick in the third installment of the series. Wick and Winston’s relationship has suffered quite a bit, but the two might need to set aside their differences and work together once more, especially since Wick is trying to get back to his ordinary, retired life.

While speaking to TotalFilm, McShane teased that Chapter 4 could feature a reunion between Wick and his character, Winston, that might end in a gruesome fight. Here’s what he said –

Director Chad Stahelski has previously indicated that John Wick will not find a happy ending any time in the franchise, which means that Chapter 4 too will not be very pleasant for the character. In fact, he’ll be facing quite a few new enemies which could spell a lot of trouble for him.

Shay Hatten and Michael Finch are behind the script, while Stahelski is back in the director’s chair for Chapter 4. The film will see Wick taking his struggle for retirement to the High Table, guarantying some top-notch action that has the potential to make a film iconic.
