Yellowjackets Share Season 2 Teaser Confirming 2023 Release Date

Christina Ricci’s nostalgic dive into the new Netflix drama Wednesday is the talk of the town currently. However, we’re still hung up on her comment about a wilder season 2 for another fantasy drama she starred in earlier this year.

According to Ricci, Showtime’s Yellowjackets season 1 may have been a wild ride, but season 2 will be more intense and dramatic than its predecessor. And now we have confirmed the release date for season 2 of Yellowjackets after the finale hinted at something darker surrounding Travis’ death.

Yellowjackets Season 1

Yellowjackets’ official Twitter account shared a short, vague teaser, at the end of which it showed season 2 would premiere on Paramount on March 24, 2023. The teaser hinted at the wintery wilderness, where we see the Yellowjackets mark, and bloody hearts carved and drawn on trees.

You can view the teaser below in the original tweet shared by the show’s official account:

Season 1 expanded on the cast’s present timelines and how they were affected after the harrowing time the team faced in 1886. Season 2 will explore the details that season 1 has missed deliberately to increase the show’s mystery. The upcoming season will introduce new characters, such as Elijah Wood’s detective on the show, to further explore the consequences of their time in the deadly woods.

Season 1 has left quite a few questions for season 2 to explore, such as the absolute truth behind Travis’ death, the mystery of Shauna’s first child, and the explanation for the mysterious entries in Jackie’s diary.
