Dwayne tells the story of when he went to Memphis to live with his father as a 15-year-old kid. He idolized his father and never believed he could do any wrong.
His mother was to come and live with them soon and his father still hadn’t found an apartment for them. He was even making Dwayne live with his manager and hadn’t enrolled him in school yet.
Things go awry when his mother arrives in the city and is infuriated by the bad choices his father made. This taught Dwayne that while his father might’ve had good intentions at heart, his choices weren’t the best.

Dwayne’s team comes up with a media strategy while he’s telling Randy this story from his past. They tell him it will be better to subdue Julien from behind the scenes by finding dirt on him instead of continuing the public feud and giving him a platform.
Dwayne revisiting the story makes him realize that it would be better for them to just let the 24-hour news cycle run its course and let the situation die down on its own.

Chapter 5 of the Young Rock Season 2 series, titled “What Business”, has been released on Tuesday, Apr 12, 2022 at 5:00 pm PDT.

Young Rock Season 2 Episode 3 Recap
The episode begins with Dwayne and his team sitting in the aftermath of his public social media feud with Julien. Dwayne gave into an impulse and ended up tweeting at Julien several times which fully escalated into a public social media scandal.
He later tells the story of how he’d gone to stay with his father while he was wrestling in Memphis in 1987.
Dwayne’s father was supposed to get him settled in and enrolled in school before their mom came. However, his father was still in the process of figuring out the situation and had Dwayne living with one of his friends.
Things get complicated when his mother shows up and the living situation still isn’t sorted out. Ata was furious that both her son and husband had been lying to her.
He tells Randy that this incident taught him that just because someone has good intentions it doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll do the right thing.
His mother ended up getting an apartment and enrolling Dwayne in school but she told his father that it’ll just be her and Dwayne in the house. Dwayne admits that his father’s choices put him and his mother in a tough spot.
