The episode begins with the team discussing strategy at the Johnson family ranch. With only five days left for the election, the pressure is building up. Dwayne tells Randall about the importance of surrounding yourself with the right people and launches into a story about how his mother had stepped into the family business when his grandmother was about to go to trial on extortion charges.
In 1984, Mama Rock was exploring her role as a wrestling promoter and was creating captivating storylines and characters to promote the events. It was around this time that Dwayne had started stirring up trouble at school. While his father believed this was harmless, his mother had started to worry that he might become a bully, especially considering how he was bigger and stronger than his peers.
Dwayne’s grandmother faces a temporary setback at her trial when she tries to bribe the jurors and the judge with mangoes to win their favor. Meanwhile, Mama Rock gets Andre to speak to Dwayne about why he’d been acting out at school. It turns out that little Dwayne had been acting out because he had his first big crush on a girl and was desperately trying to get her attention.
