Sheldon gets to know about the passing of one of his heroes, science fiction author Isaac Asimov. This is a formative experience for him as he felt a deeper connection to the author since his late grandfather loved his work, too.
He also received his first Asimov book from his Pop-pop. The experience is extremely upsetting for him as he’s confronted with the concept of mortality and death.
He’s then shocked to know that Connie did not know of the author that held such a special place in Charlie’s heart. He asks Connie to join the book club with his professors as they’re currently reading Nightfall. Missy takes on another babysitting gig to make some money but it doesn’t go quite as planned.
Georgie is still dealing with the shock of knowing that Mandy is pregnant. He finally tells Dale about it, who urges him to tell George. After some internal struggle regarding this big secret, he tells George about Mandy’s pregnancy.
