MODOK’s Actor Speaks About His Character’s Return in MCU After Ant-Man 3

After Yellowjacket’s death in Ant-Man (2015), actor Corey Stoll got a second chance to return to the MCU. Stoll returned to the Ant-Man franchise this time as new and improved, at least that’s how he says it, M.O.D.O.K, short for Mechanised Organism Designed Only for Killing.

After his revival and the character’s popularity (famous or infamous, take your pick), the fandom was disappointed seeing such an early fall for the machine with the talking head. When asked by ScreenRant whether MODOK will return to the MCU after his, spoiler, death in Ant-Man 3, this is all Corey Stoll has to say:

Your guess is as good as mine? I am down to continue playing M.O.D.O.K. That would be so much fun, but I have no inside knowledge on that one.

So, even if a return is possible, Stoll has no idea but will be willing to wear the ugly but powerful mask of MODOK again. Of course, since we are now dealing with the Multiverse and Kang was able to bring Stoll once back as a different being, chances are we can catch the tiny limbs attached to the gigantic head sometime in the future.

But the actor did provide a potential method where the MCU could employ MODOK again, specifically in a past story about a more “vicious and menacing side” of the mechanic killing machine. Read Stoll’s full quote below on the topic:

Obviously, [I’d love to see] just the whole process of turning into M.O.D.O.K. and his relationship with Kang. It would be really interesting to see a more vicious, menacing side of him. You see a little bit of it, but it’s deflated pretty quickly because Scott deflates it pretty quickly. Nobody who knew him before really takes him seriously. Everybody in the Quantum Realm thinks M.O.D.O.K. is the scariest guy in the world, but our gang knows who he really is.

Fans already missed Michael Peña’s Luis in the third instalment of the film series, so if a potential Ant-Man 4 or some other community MCU project could at least bring back MODOK, that’d be quite interesting.
