Thomas to Face off Against Nelson, Mosley, and Michael in the Series Finale

Peaky fookin’ Blinders is coming to an end on April 3, and all eyes are on Thomas. He’s going into the biggest fight of his life, and in many ways, it is similar to the situation in his time in the trenches in World War I.

Tommy and his comrades were stuck in the trenches and were most likely going to die there. But something stirred within him, and he managed to kill the opponent and save everyone’s lives.

The series finale seems a little like that. Thomas is going against Jack Nelson, Oswald Mosley, and Michael Gray. While he’s lost to Mosley once in Season 5, this time, he has two more people to fight.

So, can Thomas really defeat all three—Nelson, Mosley, and Michael?

Thomas has a shot at defeating Nelson, Mosley, and Michael if he spots the mole, Billy. He can emerge victorious only if he has a secret strategy/ploy up his sleeve.

In Episode 5, Nelson strongarms Billy into becoming his informant. He tortures him and tells him that he wants to know Thomas Shelby’s movement when he goes for the meeting, and Billy agrees.

It looks like history is repeating itself for Tommy. Even in the Season 5 finale, he could not defeat Mosley because of an unknown mole, who had given away his plan and interrupted the assassination.

At that time, it was the IRA, but someone had helped them too. This time it could be Billy or some other party who’d betray Thomas, and once again, he would lose to the biggest powers in all of the UK and US.

However, this can be prevented. First, Tommy has to find out the mole and take care of him before any damage to the ultimate plan is done. Second, he needs to have one last trick or strategy up his sleeve to truly outwit Nelson and Mosley.

Michael is merely a henchman who is driven by blind rage and vengeance. Even if he manages to kill the head of the Shelby family, it’ll mainly be because of the other two.

All of this can be avoided if Thomas can be a step ahead, which isn’t as easy. After all, he thought, he was even the last time. This time, he has realized that he’s a mere mortal man and not a god. So, that awareness can help him be more cognizant of who is with him and who is not.

While all these are mere speculations, I think it’d be a fitting end for the man who came back from the war and won every battle. History would indeed repeat itself as he steals a victory from the jaws of defeat one last time.
