The Rock Believes He Can Make a Marvel/DC Crossover Happen

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has many talents. From wrestling to acting to singing to almost becoming President, he’s done it all. Now that he has entered the DCEU as Black Adam, can he do the impossible and unite DC and Marvel fans?

Guess we could say he already has done that in a way. Netflix’s Red Notice stars Johnson alongside Gal Gadot and Ryan Reynolds.

For those who don’t keep up with DC/Marvel, Gadot is DCEU’s Wonder Woman, and Reynolds is MCU’s Deadpool (and Green Lantern too, but we don’t talk about that).

During the film’s premiere, Johnson said he’d be down for a DC/Marvel crossover if it were to happen. When asked about a Black Adam/Wonder Woman crossover, Johnson said,

“I think there’s a crossover with Black Adam, Wonder Woman—what we were just talking about today, was, you know, I turn to Ryan and Gal, and I said there should be a crossover with Marvel and the DC Universe.

We could be the ones to possibly make it happen, so we’ll see. We’ll see what happens down the road.”

Comics fans know that this isn’t exactly a bizarre or ‘impossible’ idea as there have been comic crossovers events between the two.

Most notably was a miniseries released in 1996, DC vs. Marvel. Both the companies published two issues of the series, with the titles differing as ‘DC vs. Marvel’ and ‘Marvel vs. DC’ for different issues.

For now, let’s just consider Red Notice as a Wonder Woman, Deadpool, and Black Adam crossover event in an alternate timeline/universe.

With the multiverse spiraling out of control in both the universes, we knew it was only a matter of time before this happened.

Red Notice is currently screening in limited theaters before coming to Netflix on November 12.

An Interpol-issued red notice is a global alert to hunt and capture the world’s most wanted. But when a daring heist brings together the FBI’s top profiler (Johnson) and two rival criminals (Gadot, Reynolds), there’s no telling what will happen.
