Okay, who called Jimmy and Gaby sleeping together at the end of Brian and Charlie’s surprise engagement party? No one? Two leads in a show with years of friendship hooking up after a divorce and a spouse’s death in a heated moment – come on, that was predictable.
The awkwardness and guilt will be high in the next episode since Jimmy just slept with his dead wife’s best friend and Gaby with her dead best friend’s husband. Aside from that, Sean rejected Alice, and Meg is flying out to care for Paul after years of him abandoning his role as her father – it’s going to be quite a tense episode next week.
Episode 7 Synopsis/Speculation
Jimmy plays damage control after his party. Paul’s daughter pays another visit. Liz and Sean discover they have something in common.
I think next week’s episode is rightly titled “Apology Tour” since most of our characters have done something to be sorry about this week.
In the first place is Jimmy, who needs to apologize, to his best friend for ruining his proposal, to his daughter for outing her crush in front of Sean, and to Gaby for messing up a perfectly good friendship and colleague bond. God, what a mess.
Then we have Paul, who’s already drowning in guilt after his daughter agreed to drop everything for him despite how he shunned his fatherly duties after the separation from his wife. Sean might apologize to Alice for being so abrupt in rejecting her, but the embarrassed Alice might beat him to it and say she’s sorry about her dad’s behavior and how she might need to rethink her feelings.
I’m not betting on Sean and Alice getting together, but since the show probably approves of this messy romantic storyline for Gaby and Jimmy, all bets are off. We’ll just have to wait and see what’s in store for the two therapist colleagues and Sean & Alice.
Jimmy will probably be the first to kick off the tour after his mess of a party and play “damage control,” with Gaby and Paul following. Despite the drama that’s sure to ensue from all the above, I’m more interested in discovering the common factor that will bring Liz and Sean closer.
I have no clue what they could possibly have in common except making fun of Jimmy and looking out for Alice, but I’m sure the show will have a nice surprise for its viewers there.
So when can we expect the next episode to drop?

Episode 6 Recap
Upon Paul’s asking, Sean has begun to open up to Jimmy about his past trauma. However, the grieving therapist still has a long way to go before projecting his own emotions on the reviving soldier. Meanwhile, Gaby confides in Liz about her failure in bed after her divorce, and Paul worries about Meg’s visit.
Brian’s ready to propose to Charlie but wants to do it at a party, preferably at Jimmy’s house. Jimmy refuses but, upon Alice’s insistence, agrees to host the party – his first after Tia’s death. Thinking about flashbacks of how Tia might have fallen out of love with him before his death, Jimmy gets plastered, and Gaby follows him after her issues after the divorce.
Jimmy and Paul ruin Brian’s proposal plan, but Charlie still accepts, and Jimmy outs Alice’s crush to Sean. Sean consoles her, but she misreads his actions and leans in for a kiss, but Sean calmly rejects her. Gaby finds proof and shows Jimmy that despite their fights, Tia loved Jimmy until the end. Jimmy thanks Gaby, and the two kiss and sleep together in a heated moment.
