Ahead of Supergirl’s new episode on October 5, the show has released a cute teaser of couple Alex and Kelly fighting crime together.
The TV Line exclusive clip of the upcoming Episode 14 shows the two in their superhero alter egos, Guardian and Sentinel (played by Azie Tesfai and Chyler Leigh, respectively).
They seem to be engaged in a scuffle with some bad guys but exchange playful banter amidst it.

The main topic of their conversation is a little Esme, an alien girl in need of a good foster home. Kelly informs Alex that she has finally found Esme a suitable family to stay with, and the little girl even made her a cute bracelet to thank her for it! Aww!
The scene ends with the two being summoned to help the NCPD at another location.
Tesfai had earlier revealed more to come for the couple’s budding relationship, especially in the last few episodes. As Season 6 is 20 episodes long, it’s not long because we get in on all the romance.
The show is, of course, not without its perils — in Episode 14 itself, Kelly’s efforts of helping Esme will unravel as the girl gets stuck in yet another dangerous situation.
Elsewhere, Lena is on the fence about using her new powers to help Supergirl, while William is stuck in a professional-personal life dilemma of keeping both his superhero friends and news reporter boss happy.
It is great to see Kelly join the ranks of the Superfriends, taking over the mantle of Guardian from her brother James. But mind you, Kelly has been a hero in her own rights before adorning the cape.
Her earlier appearances gave an insight into her skills as a psychologist returned from her duties in the US Army.
But her heart and soul shined through the humanitarian work she’s undertaken, along with holding superheroes accountable to their communities, as seen in Episode 12.
Coupled with their own personal growth, Kelly and Alex’s relationship promises for both cute and introspective moments to come!
