Clint Barton Can’t Seem To Catch A Break In New Hawkeye Teaser

MCU’s upcoming Hawkeye series is just around the corner, and it will introduce us to Clint Barton’s protégé, Kate Bishop.

The Disney+ series is set to premiere just a few days after Eternals makes its theatrical debut. No wonder Marvel has already begun dropping promotional clips for it.

One such teaser was released a few hours ago, titled “Change of Plans,” and it shows that superheroes don’t have time for breaks, not even during the holiday season.

The clip features Andy Williams’ ‘It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year,’ just like the first trailer did as Hawkeye is off-duty and is spending Christmas time with his family in New York City.

We see an almost disappointed/offended Clint Barton watching a musical based on The Avengers. But, as is the case each time, the bad guys have to interrupt the good times.

The bad guys are out to kill his family, and now he has to work with Kate Bishop, a Hawkeye fan, to get rid of them before they can lay hands on the Avenger’s family.

The official synopsis mentions that Barton and Bishop are ‘forced to work together when a presence from Barton’s past threatens to derail far more than the festive spirit.’

Maybe these guys are members of the gangs that Hawkeye so ruthlessly went after during the time between Infinity War and Endgame.

Marvel’s Disney+ series so far have taken either of two directions. There’s WandaVision and Loki following the typical superhero magical storyline that we love. Then there’s series like The Falcon and The Winter Soldier that take place in a more ‘realistic’ everyday life setting.

Based on the trailers and clips (and the superhero in question), it would be safe to assume the Hawkeye series will fall under the second category.

Rhys Thomas helms the series with directing duo, Bert and Bertie. Alongside Jeremy Renner and Hailee Steinfeld, the series stars Vera Farmiga, Fra Fee, Tony Dalton, Zahn McClarnon, Brian d’Arcy James, and Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez.

Hawkeye will consist of 6 episodes, with the first two episodes premiering on Disney+ on November 24, 2021.
