By now, we’re all aware of the WandaVision spin-off starring Agatha Harkness, titled Agatha: House of Harkness. But there’s one question we all want answered, especially after seeing Wanda in the Multiverse of Madness.
Considering the series is a WandaVision spin-off, there could be a chance of Scarlet Witch making an appearance in the series. In fact, Kathryn Harn first appeared in the MCU as Wanda and Vision’s ‘nosy neighbor’ Agnes in WandaVision.
Agnes was a pretty mysterious character in the beginning and by the end of the show, her darker intentions were confirmed as it was revealed that she was actually a witch named Agatha Harkness.
In the series, Wanda defeated Agatha and trapped her in Westview, convincing her to believe that she was just a nosy neighbor. The spin-off revolving around Agatha Harkness had been in development since October 2021.
Will Scarlet Witch appear on Agatha: House of Harkness?
Though the writer of WandaVision, Jac Schaeffer is all set to return for Agatha: House of Harkness, Olsen herself recently said that her character, Wanda Maximoff might not appear in the series after all.
Also, since Wanda practically died (most probably, we never know with the variants) at the end of Multiverse of Madness, it leaves fewer chances for the OG Wanda to appear in the spin-off.
Recently, Elizabeth Olsen was asked on Good Morning America whether we can expect to see Scarlet Witch in Agatha: House of Harkness. Keeping the ending of Multiverse of Madness in mind, Olsen said she is not appearing in the series.
Though, she also said she would love to work with Harn once again. So, if the writers can find a way to include her, Olsen would probably be up for it. But as of now, there seem to be no plans for Scarlet Witch to appear in the series.
Will Wanda not appear in the MCU again?
Does that mean we give up the hope of seeing Wanda again? I would say, no.
In the Multiverse of Madness, we see that Wanda sacrifices herself to destroy the DarkHold in every universe including Earth-616. On paper, it seems like she died. But her dead body was not shown and considering how the multiverse is a thing now, there are high chances that there’s not just one Wanda.
The Agatha Harkness spin-off series seems to be the perfect platform for Wanda to make a return, considering that Agatha’s powers are directly related to Wanda. It would actually be surprising if Scarlet Witch would not be involved in the series in some way.
Also, Marvel fans have by now realized that not everything actors say regarding their involvement in upcoming MCU projects is the gospel truth. I mean, they lie. Often. So, Olsen might be denying her involvement in the series now, but we will discover the truth later.
For now, we have to simply wait because Agatha: House of Harkness has not even begun production.
