Events of WWE NoC 2023 Could Mean Big Changes in The Bloodline’s Story

After everything that happened during the Tag Team Championship at WWE Night of Champions 2023, things aren’t looking too good for The Bloodline.

Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens remain the Undisputed Tag Team Champions, but their victory came in the most unexpected way. The duo was up against The Bloodline’s Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa, who were putting up a good fight until they were interrupted by their own teammates, The Usos.

It’s no surprise that a betrayal was right around the corner because we’ve all been a witness to the way The Usos have been treated by the Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns, throughout their run with The Bloodline.

But NoC was the last straw and Jimmy Uso finally turned on Reigns by attacking him and costing him the tag team championship.

The Usos’ betrayal at WWE Night of Champions 2023 has resulted in their exit from The Bloodline after more than 3 years. This could mean that we’ll see the twins fight against their former teammates, Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa, in the upcoming WWE fixtures.

1. The start of The Bloodline’s dissension

Cracks in The Bloodline first started to appear when Jimmy and Jey Uso lost the Tag Team Championship to Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn twice in a row – the first time at WrestleMania 39 and the next in the rematch on the April 28 episode of SmackDown.

At Backlash 2023, the Usos and Solo Sikoa competed in a six-man tag team match against Matt Riddle, Owens and Zayn. Sikoa won the match for The Bloodline but tensions within the group arose when Sikoa almost hit Jey with the Samoan Spike.

On the following episode of SmackDown, matters were made worse. Roman Reigns openly praised Sikoa for his performance at Backlash 2023 but expressed disappointment in the Usos for losing their tag team titles.

Later that night, Jimmy refused to perform the group’s signature taunt which added more fuel to the fire. The group’s manager, Paul Heyman then announced that the tag team he had chosen for the Night of Champions event was Reigns and Sikoa, and not the Usos.

By now, it was clear that the Usos were being left out and Reigns was beginning to favour Sikoa. The Usos were clearly upset about not being chosen for NoC so they went against Reigns’ orders and made a surprise appearance on the day of the event.

The Usos interrupted the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship match between Reigns & Sikoa and Owens & Zayn. When Jimmy and Jey Uso accidentally landed a double kick on Sikoa, Reigns got mad and disrespected the both of them.

But Jimmy Uso wasn’t going to accept any more embarrassment so he turned on Reigns and super kicked him twice before the leaving the ring and taking Jey Uso along with him. This subsequently cost Reigns and Sikoa their tag team title.

The Usos’ betrayal was long overdue and it was time they stood up for themselves.

2. Matches to expect due to the betrayal

Now that Jimmy and Jey Uso have left The Bloodline, it’s only a matter of time before the pair are made to fight against their former teammates.

With Money in the Bank 2023 coming up soon, we could see Jimmy Uso in a match against Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. This would be fitting since the entire Bloodline story began when Jey failed to win the same title 3 years ago against Reigns.

In an attempt to prove his loyalty, it’s possible that Solo Sikoa step in to defend Reigns by going against his older brother Jimmy Uso. This match could be an emotional one to watch and could include real-life storytelling.

The most obvious and entertaining match we could expect is a tag team one between Reigns & Sikoa and the Usos at Money in the Bank 2023. After the NoC betrayal, The Bloodline might set their eyes on the Usos and look to take revenge.

This last one might be a bit outrageous but anything’s possible in WWE. Jimmy and Jey Uso could join hands with Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn to end The Bloodline’s reign of terror.

It’s no doubt that The Bloodline has played a huge role in Roman Reigns’ success of remaining champion for 1000 days. But now that the group has separated, it could be a real threat to Reigns’ future title matches.

3. Rikishi as a potential new member

The WWE Hall of Famer, Rikishi, hasn’t made an appearance on WWE since the start of The Bloodline’s storyline. However, after Jimmy Uso’s betrayal on Night of Champions, this could change.

Rikishi

Following Reigns and Sikoa’s defeat to Owens and Zayn, Rikishi posted several tweets expressing his reaction to the turn of events. The first tweet he posted said “and so it SHALL be DONE” and the chain ended with a quote from The Godfather reading “I’m gonna make him an offer.”

Fans seemed to think these were in reference to Rikishi joining his son and nephew in The Bloodline Saga.

Since the legend himself has expressed interest in returning to WWE, it would be the perfect time for them to bring him back. Rikishi’s comeback could definitely make for some amazing matches and storylines, especially ones involving family drama.

The twist in The Bloodline’s story has so much potential and there are so many different directions that WWE could go in from here.
